IPA Staff & Volunteer Work

Ashley Watts:

Ashley volunteers with Keep Tahoe Blue each year in early July. They help clean up the beaches and bike/walking trails to keep pollution out of Tahoe’s crystalline waters.

From cigarette buds to plastic trash bags and aluminum cans, they gather the trash, weigh it, sort it and recycle what they can.

Last year, they removed 3,450 lbs of trash around Lake Tahoe:

• 2,500 cigarette buds

• 4,260 bits of plastic

• a buffet of assorted waste (cans, shoes, towels, beach toys and chairs, etc.)

This year’s cleanup is on July 5th!

Thanks to Ash for helping to keep one of the most beautiful parts of the country clean!

Kellie Dunn (& Arlo):

Kellie is in the process of getting Arlo certified as a therapy dog!
